On March 9th Kurt Geiger launched their brand new Mini Miss KG range, a frankly amazing selection of mini-me must-have shoes.
L and I were invited to the fab launch party in London last weekend, but as we couldn’t make it, those lovely people at Kurt Geiger sent us both a pair of shoes each. Joining in the celebrations from afar, we got to pick a design each. L went for the Shooting Star White High-Top Trainers (£55) and I plumped for a pair of Lara Silver Flat Shoes (currently reduced to £69).
Absolutely loving pointed flat lace-ups at the moment, it was an easy choice for me to go for the Laras, but L faced a trickier decision of to-ing and fro-ing between a fair few Mini Miss KG pairs. Coming in UK sies 9-4, the shoes are as cool-kid as they are chic and girly. The Roarsome Low Top Trainers were a close second choice for L, complete with monster face and furry pom-pom hair. For summer there are Tassel sandals and Fringe trainers, plus a couple of pairs of Ballerina shoes. Covering on-trend kidswear and practicality, we were seriously impressed with the quality of L’s new shoes. They are sturdy and robust, and have playful sparkle and metallic detail to boot.
Talking about the new range Creative Director Rebecca Farrar-Hockley says, “Perhaps it’s the kid in me, but I’ve been itching to turn my hand to shoes for littler girls for a while. You wouldn’t believe just how many letters I get from mini Miss KGs asking for shoes in their size; and so their wish is my command! We’ve enlisted many of them to design and edit the collection and I have to say these have been my favourite design sessions- who say’s grown-ups know best…”
L was giddy with excitement (as was I..) when the shoes arrived, and she slept with them by her bed last night. That’s our shoes sorted for Easter weekend.. now what about the boys?

With thanks to Kurt Geiger for our gorgeous new shoes.
