Ananne Nectar Cutis Serum Review

ananné are a beauty brand who are very new to my makeup bag, all thanks to a recent trial of their luxurious Nectar Cutis Serum. Although I’d heard lots of amazing things about ananné already, I was really keen to try this serum in particular for myself.

ananné Nectar Cutis Serum is priced at £115 for 15mls, making it a luxury purchase.. Although that can sound an overwhelming price tag, amazing skincare is definitely worth the occasional (or more often) splurge. And, I’ve found that a teeny tiny bit of this serum goes a long way.

Created in Switzerland by neuroscientist Dr Urs Pohlman, annané focuses on natural skincare and a sensory experience. As explained by Dr Pohlman, “annané was born from my knowledge and experience as a doctor and my desire as a scientist to use the purest natural ingredients to create a range of perfectly balanced, sensory products to rejuvenate and nourish the skin”.

The brand’s main ingredients are; rosehip, sea buckthorn, borage seeds, brown algae, vitamins A and E. A blend of pure essential oils, the inclusion of Coenzyme Q10 also works to refine pores and minimise fine lines which in turn creates a smoother look.

Onto the actual serum itself, which brightens and tightens skin to reveal a glowing complexion. I tend to put serum on under my moisturiser, as this seals in the effects of any creams or lotions. Plus, if I’m in a real hurry, serum works well on its own.

The Nectar Cutis Serum smells absolutely divine; it’s sweet but not at all sickly, and infuses skin with a relaxing scent. An addictive skincare fix, I adore the fragrance. Components include rosehip, macadamia nuts, bergamot seeds, brown algae and samphire. After using the serum for a few weeks, my skin is looking plumper and firmer, and it feels like a real treat to apply.

Also presented in sleek, recycled packaging, I love the natural ethos of this company. ananné don’t test on animals, use fair trade ingredients where they can and their products never contain parabens or synthetic substances.

This skincare addition to my beauty routine is definitely a new firm favourite.
