The Gift of Being Present

Before I delve into the depths of this blog piece, I want to say a really big thank you for all of your support. Writing is my absolute passion and I love connecting with so many wonderful people. You are truly appreciated. Back to what I was going to say…

With Christmas hurtling towards us at a crazy speed, I’m going to step away from the site for a few festive days and enjoy family moments. As a busy mama it can be so easy to become distracted, and juggle 12 things at once. Often I feel guilty that I’m wrestling emails while sorting the kids. The last thing I want is them to think my phone is glued to my hand/ face/ back pocket.

So, all that in mind, I’m going to give the children my absolute focus this special season. Soaking up their excited faces and festive joy is my favourite part of Christmas.

I’ll be popping up on social media from time to time, but for the most part I think technology will be low down on my priority list, firmly replaced with good food and cosy time. Decompressing minus an urgent need to be available or on-hand 24/7 is such a refreshing act, and I would definitely recommend you doing the same at some stage, if not over Christmas too.

I’m blowing under-the-mistletoe kisses, and if I don’t speak to you before then, I’ll bring you lovely people a fresh blog post in the New Year! Should Christmas be a particularly hard holiday for you, I hope it passes quickly and without too much pain. Or, if you’re someone who loves the festivities, have a fabulous one.

Do explore other posts if you fancy a read and I’ll see you back here in 2017 for more life, style and beauty installments.

Big love, Helen xxx
