With March arriving, I’m hoping that it’s finally time to lose those bulky winter boots and ditch woolly socks in favour of lighter shoes. Any slight sign the sun is shining and I’ll be the one ditching her coat.
Spring is definitely in the air and I’m also loving the sleeve detail hitting shops, including this new one I nabbed in Next for £20. Although it does have a slight Anne of Green Gables feel. Make of that what you will.
Back to our latest footwear finds, and Chatham sent the Mr and I a pair of their driving shoes last week. I chose the Tropez Suede Driving Moccasins (£65) in navy and my other half picked Escape Leather Driving Moccasin Loafers (£75) in brown.
Both classic moccasins, these British-made shoes are super comfy and crafted from premium leather or suede. With cushioned insoles, they are designed to add a bit of bounce to your step. I sometimes find flat shoes hard to walk in, and as with my last pair of Chatham loafers, these ones are ridiculously soft.
Each available in three colours, you’ll find the Tropez Suede Driving Moccasins in navy, cobalt or tan suede. The Escape Suede Driving Moccasin Loafers are listed as brown and black leather or navy suede.
I paired mine with my faithful bright orange Mulberry bag, Zara khaki cargo trousers and said large-sleeved top. Mr B wears his standard combo of Gap shirt and chinos. After taking these pics, we had Sunday brunch with lovely pals planned and a trip around the kids’ play-park for some family time. In fact, the dads may have pushed the kids on the swings while the mums sat inside and drank coffee.
Dressed up or dressed down, I’m all about simple staples which look stylish, and these Chatham spring footwear buys definitely fit the bill.
Both pairs of Chatham shoes were gifted to us for the purpose of this post.
