Lola Rose ‘Cool Mama’ Necklace

Lola Rose 2

Brand new from gorgeous jewellery company Lola Rose, is their word bar necklace collection. Ever since Carrie Bradshaw hit our screens, I’ve been hooked on gold name necklaces, with this blue topaz Cool Mama piece perfectly fitting the bill.

Although all parents probably possess that innate skill of embarrassing their little ones, I’m hoping I can also pull off a little mama cool. Even if I do wear trousers T swears are pyjama bottoms to the school gate. Aside from pretending to be in SATC, the mummy detail on this name necklace is super sweet too.

Created by British jewellery designer and founder of Lola Rose, Nikki Gewirtz, all pieces comprise either 18ct yellow gold or rose gold vermeil, rhodium plating, or sterling silver. For the prong set faceted stones, you can choose between precious and semi precious, including; topaz, amethyst, pink tourmaline, black spinel and labradorite.

My new gifted number is the 18ct yellow gold version, featuring blue topez, and I really love its summery feel. The necklace swings low, and works well worn alone or for layering. Prices range from £70-£135, and this gold pick costs £110.

The entire collection was inspired by Nikki’s favourite sayings, and this one in particular mirrors a nickname given to her by children Freddie and Oscar. All pieces of jewellery focus on an italic saying or word, completely suiting Nikki’s mantra that “every woman should accessorize with jewellery that makes her smile and brings her confidence”.

I’ve definitely gained a lovely lift from my new necklace, bringing a happy smile every single time I add it to an outfit. Simple and sparkly, this is a beautiful classic piece, designed to add a subtle mama spring to your step, whether as a gift to someone or well deserved treat for yourself.
