I just thought I’d drop you a little line, and say that I’m signing off for some internet-free Santa time.
After a year which I’m betting has been as busy as any other, I’m so grateful that you stop by to read my blog. I love writing and sharing favourites of mine, from beauty to fashion and beyond.
This site gives me the opportunity to do just that, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I cherish jotting down those thoughts.
The kids break up for Christmas tomorrow and are practically bouncing off the ceiling (sound familiar?); their excitement gathering pace by the second. We’ve had the nativities and party day, plus Mr T’s birthday, and everyone is pretty much ready to crash.
We’ll be getting cosy this weekend, and beginning festivities. I’m scanning Netflix for a token Christmas film as we speak, grabbing an hour or two minus minis to get in the zone.
Last night the kids told me their favourite part of Christmas is being together and that just about had me sobbing into my cornflakes.
It’s true though, and for all those times I get panicked about presents/ food/ housework/ keeping everybody in the entire universe happy, that will be my main mantra.
I don’t know about you, but I’m terrible at stopping, literally not sure I have the ability to, and must make more of enjoying the mess, soaking up chaos and in turn, happiness.
Our children are now six and eight, which means even more fun than when they were little. L and I went to the ballet (admittedly, she sat in the row ahead with her friend and was an independent woman, but still), giving me all the mini me feels.
I can’t wait for food, family, friendship and that warm fuzzy feeling which all of the above bring.
Whatever you’re up to, have a truly wonderful festive time.
