Side Stripe Trousers

I’ve been looking for the ideal pair of side stripe trousers for a little while, and after a false start (said garment created a saggy bottom worthy of The Great British Bake Off), I have found some perfect trews in Zara for £25.99.

Although clearly what’s right for me, may be pants for you. Pun intended. After longing for some sunshine, a wardrobe shake-up is definitely the next best thing. And this pair have given me a little glimpse of ankle, which I rarely expose before August to be honest.

The side stripe trousers I’m wearing come out as just shorter than ankle grazers on me (I’m 5ft 7), so their length really does depend. They also have an elasticated band at the waist as well as a zip which makes them super comfy. Plus, they are much more flattering on the derriere than aforementioned pair.

Another pair I found are less fitted, and are as importantly, still in the sale:

White Stuff Canyon Stripe Trouser (Now £27 instead of £55)

A looser fit, these trousers don’t have a zip and just pull on. Size down as they are a little on the generous side. Comfy and loose, this is the casual side stripe trousers you could be seeking.

Whether black or navy, there are also a few grey checked pairs about, if you fancied something a little different to these two.

Also from Zara, the grey version of my pair above:

Oasis– also in the sale and now £15:

There are both lots of sales bargains to still be had- it is an excellent time of year to grab them- and side stripe trousers galore in shops, should you seek a pair.

Happy soon-to-be-spring shopping!

Above outfit: Top- Marks & Spencer (bargainous sale rail buy last week); trousers- Zara and gifted sparkly Stardust trainers- Holster Australia (£59.99).
