Ever since getting our new puppy Ziggy, dog walking wear has risen to the top of my style agenda. I honestly never thought I’d say that…
A huge fan of Chatham footwear, I was recently gifted some riding boots for new puppy walks and countryside exploring with the kids.
Yes, we’re heading into summer, but having a new puppy means practical footwear for muddy walks. These Chatham Ascot Brown/ Tan Waterproof High Leg Riding Boots (£130) are so versatile for everyday use. As a family we try and do a few walks every weekend, and I needed something to throw on, but also feel nice in.
The soft quilted suede panels definitely add some extra stylish luxe appeal, and I love the zip running up the back. 100% waterproof, they can handle beach treks as well as rainy days and their heavy duty sole couldn’t be more robust.
Come summer, the boots will be worn with a tee and shorts (hopefully, fingers crossed) while in winter I’ll tuck skinny jeans into them, alongside approximately 700 layers.
Still a total novice at this new puppy mama thing, I’m learning that walks mean exploring everyone and everything. We’ve met so many lovely people along the way and already made a few friends.
The sun is out today, and I can’t wait for beach picnic and other puppy times. Living in the Northumberland countryside, Chatham boots do fit perfectly into my lifestyle, on off duty days of playing with my kids and pup.
Therapy for the mind, body and soul, getting outside with Ziggy has worked wonders for all of us.
Disclaimer: the Chatham boots featured were gifted to me for the purpose of this review. Cheeky puppy my own.
