Natural and organic skincare experts Weleda are leaders in their beauty field, so it is particularly fitting that they are currently running a Cleaner Beauty campaign. If you search the #CleanerBeauty hashtag across social media, you’ll discover what my fellow beauty bloggers associate with the term Cleaner Beauty. As a passionate beauty blogger, I was really happy when asked to get involved with the Weleda Cleaner Beauty campaign.
Having kicked off this month, there’s a vast array of green beauty bloggers and wellbeing experts talking about Weleda Cleaner Beauty. To be totally transparent, I’m a little bit of a novice when it comes to green beauty knowledge, but I do feel passionate about protecting our planet as well as avoiding nasty ingredients.
To me, clean beauty is about ethical, sustainable practices and losing components which can damage our health. Clearly the banning of microbeads has been a big step forward, yet there’s more work (and my own educating) to be done.
I was gifted a Weleda Luxury Three Drawer Gift Set (£32) to explore their products a little more. Comprising beautiful white drawers with neon ties and bold patterned liners, there are mini body lotions, oils and washes to explore. Being NATRUE certified, you can trust that they are free from synthetics, sulphates and other nasties. Gorgeous scents include wild rose, pomegranate, citrus, sea buckthorn and lavender. An arnica oil also offers soothing replenishment for any bumps and bruises. Ideal when you’re both accident prone and have two small children.
Being a Beauty Shortlist judge, I’m currently part of their Mama & Baby Awards panel, so the exploration of these products feels particularly apt at the moment. An awards without any ads or sponsors, winners truly deserve these accolades as they gather genuine opinions from those in the beauty industry. Focusing on products which are kind to the skin and environment as part of this, clean skincare is currently a key consideration for me.
