Sampling Your Skin But Better CC Cream (£30), this colour correcting number also comes complete with factor 50 anti-ageing protection. That was a massive pull for me, as suddenly I’ve become much more aware of protecting my skin from the sun’s harmful rays. I never remember to apply sun screen to my face and am ashamed to say it’s something that has been far too low down on the priority list. Paired with Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer (£23.50), I was ready for some serious face base TLC.
And boy, am I impressed. I personally like decent coverage, so sometimes BB and CC creams just don’t cut it. However, Your Skin But Better gives a consistent level of coverage, while remaining light to the touch. In short, I absolutely love it. Available in a selection of shades such as Fair, Medium, Tan and Rich, it is Light which best suits my pale skin.
Infused with antioxidants plus hyaluronic acid and collagen to plump, my face felt nourished and smoother. Seriously, if you’re in the market for a new foundation or even tinted moisturiser, you need to check this out. A little bit goes a long way, with the effect a natural and enhanced skincare look.
Onto the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer, which is a concealer whose texture is halfway between a liquid and palette touch-up. It glides onto the under eye area, yet has enough substance to stay put and provide an instant pepped-up effect. My tired eyes appear brighter, which is no mean feat with a puppy who likes to wake at 5am.
Again available in different shades, the concealer is designed to cover-up dark circles and redness, with it also working well on a blemish I had. Concealing imperfections minus any creases, I pop Bye Bye Under Eye on to keep eyeshadow in place too.
So there you have it, two newbies to try for summer and beyond, with your skin set to thank you for sure.
