Whether it’s summer fatigue or a hormonal dip, my skin has felt a little parched lately. A huge beauty craze, Korean skincare is an ideal solution. Always flying the flag for TLC, I thought I’d share a couple of my latest Korean skincare favourites. First up from Erborian are these bright beauties.
Erborian focus on products which enhance skin, and each one is inspired by traditional Korean techniques and skincare traditions. Covering skincare and makeup, I’ve been a fan of their line for a while, absolutely loving the Copper Glow Bronzer (£34) this summer too.
Back to skin, and sampling some luscious lotions. The lotion line covers different skincare concerns, so you can shop to suit relevant requirements.
Yuza Double Lotion (£26 for 190ml) is revitalising and smoothing, with an oil-based component. Ideal for awakening skin, Yuza is renowned for its antioxidant properties. Perfect if your skin is in need of a detox, press re-set and refresh.
Eau Ginseng (£32 for 190ml) provides moisturising properties, ensuring long-lasting hydration. A little more than a simple lotion, thirsty skin can grab a big drink. Anti-ageing and nourishing, top up moisture levels.
Finally, minimise pores with the Bamboo Matte Lotion (£29 for 190ml). Reducing excess sebum and tightening pores, I found this one to be the perfect pre-makeup prep.
Add in a Capsule Mask (£5 for 3) and convert these lotions into masks. Soak the tablet in your chosen lotion and a new beauty twist is born.
Speaking of masks, Dewytree specialise in 3-step numbers, such as their Vita Capsule Black Mask (£5.99) and Aqua Black Mask (£4.99- available from Superdrug). Innovative deep cleansing sheet masks, you can enjoy each part of the process. Follow the steps from cleansing to moisturising and the final mask application, and indulge in a slice of downtime.
A fun bit of skincare escapism, I really enjoyed using both these masks, with my skin radiant and plumped afterwards. The peeling-off bit is often so satisfying too. Design to enable your skin maximum absorption, these nifty masks are a shopping list must-try.
