Simplehuman Sensor Mirror Trio Review

Last week I was sent a magical simplehuman Sensor Mirror Trio (£279.99) to try. A total beauty fanatic, I’d first discovered the simplehuman sensor mirror range in my role as a Beauty Shortlist Awards judge and been seriously impressed. Taking things one step further, the brand new Trio mirror combines surface elements which are 1x, 5x and 10x magnifying.

Available in brushed stainless steel too, I chose the rose gold stainless steel option as it fits well with my favourite colours at home. Ideal for makeup application, tweezing those brows and general mirror use (lipstick-on-teeth-checking, for example), I can promise, you will not find a better mirror.

A robust beauty tool, the mirror comprises a 5x magnifying sphere for popping your makeup on, a standard 1x magnifying option for true size viewing and also, the piece de resistance, a close-up mirror offering you that 10x magnifying moment. The best bit about this particular simplehuman sensor mirror is the chance to choose between different magnifying versions. And as someone who is very fussy about the mirror used for applying makeup, this passes every test with flying colours.

It is undoubtedly a considered investment purchase, however, you will use this several times a daily and it does come with a 5 year warranty. Plus, if you ask me, mirrors can be boring, but this one adds extra style appeal to any bathroom or bedroom. The sensor mirror brings both aesthetic appeal and multi-purpose practicality.

The on and off sensor is my favourite bit, with a light coming on as you approach the mirror. This can then be adjusted according to brightness, with simple touch control. Adding a flattering light for makeup application and skincare, I also find it really handy when not needing to switch the main light on during night-time bathroom trips.

There’s no doubt this simplehuman Trio mirror is an extremely versatile buy, which is well worth the investment.

The mirror featured was gifted to me for the purpose of this post.
