I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit self-conscious about my under-eye area and am always looking for quick cream and concealer solutions. Having sampled a few different ones recently, I thought I’d share with you the best under-eye cream and concealers in my makeup bag at the moment.
First up, Bioderma. Their Sensibio Eye Contour Gel (£14.99) is a gorgeously soothing goodie, working hard to relieve puffiness, while hydrating too. Working well on sensitive skin (like mine), I really love the gel consistency as it feels gentle and cooling. Bioderma Sensibio is a range specifically designed for sensitive skin, and I’m also a big fan of their H20 Micellar Water . Other brilliant Bioderma Sensibio products are their Anti-Redness Cream, Tolerance Plus and Rich Soothing Cream. If you have easily irritated skin, it’s a range well worth checking out.
Joining this gel in my skincare routine, the best under-eye cream I’ve found recently is Clarins Extra-Firming Eye (£41). Brand new to Clarins, it’s designed for use morning and night. A luxe eye cream, ingredients include kangaroo flower to reduce wrinkles, mitracarpus for firming and albizia to combat puffiness.
Referring to both of the above, my under-eye area is soothed, more hydrated and looking a lot less tired.
In terms of concealer, again I’ve also been using two different finds. These are: Erborian CC Eye (£34) and It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination (£24).
Both equally amazing, they are also each new. I’ll start with Erborian and their radiance eye contour cream. Coming out looking like a cream, CC Eye then becomes concealer-coloured before your very eyes. Gently blending into the under-eye area, it doesn’t crease during the day either. Created using powerful ingredients, this wonder also helps promote collagen synthesis while moisturising and concealing.
Brightening and with just the right amount of coverage, I am obsessed.
Last but absolutely not least, I’ve been using It Cosmetics for about a year now. I adore their Your Skin But Better CC Cream and their original Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer is brilliant too. I was very excited to try the newest concealer incarnation, Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination, and was impressed as always by It Cosmetics.
Highly pigmented, it offers excellent coverage while illuminating elements add that all-important radiance. Your eyes look a little more sparkly, even after a bad night’s sleep. Waterproof too, you can use this to combat discolouration and dark circles. There’s definitely no going back for me now. It is a game-changer.
Take that, under-eye area that previously rivalled Aldi bags for life.
