Recently I stepped away from social media for a few days to recover from a health flare-up and it also helped me seek a little self belief boost. Because as incredible as Instagram and the like have been for me, my blog and ultimately, my career; sometimes it’s good to step back and be present in real time.

Through this blog, and my writing work, I have a voice. Albeit a small one in the grand scheme of things, but I can’t rest easy not mentioning the less than fluffy things. Chronic health issues have been a huge part of my life, and in The Greatest Showman-style, this is me. Exposing my own vulnerabilities can help others, and that is a crucial privilege.

Since becoming a brand new puppy mama, there’s been no shortages of cuddles and an extra excuse for down time. Something I think we can often overlook during busy lives, I’ve recently felt a bit burnt out and in need of pressing pause. After a gorgeous trip to London last week seeing my friend Adriana, founder of Ancienne Ambiance (more about that soon), the kids then broke up for school on Thursday.
